When a UCC (Unsolicited Commercial Communication) complaint is filed with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and subsequently forwarded to FreJun, the company is mandated to take a series of actions to ensure compliance with telecom regulations and facilitate a fair investigation process. The steps undertaken are as follows:
a. User Intimation: FreJun will promptly notify the concerned user about the receipt of the UCC complaint.b. Request for Evidence: The user will be requested to submit any relevant evidence or supporting documentation within 12 hours of receiving the intimation. This information is necessary to facilitate an internal review and investigation of the complaint.
c. User Cooperation: It is expected that the user will fully cooperate with FreJun during the investigation process by providing all necessary and truthful information in a timely manner.
d. Right to Suspend: FreJun reserves the right to temporarily suspend or restrict access to the user’s account in cases of non-cooperation, or if the user is found to be in violation of telecom regulations, including any breach of TRAI's guidelines.
e. Escalation and Reporting: Based on the findings of the investigation, FreJun will review the submitted evidence and, if required, forward it to the telecom service provider or directly to TRAI for further action.
These measures are taken to maintain regulatory compliance and to support a safe and lawful communication environment for all users.
