When assigning or editing a role in FreJun, the Scope determines the range of data that users with that role can access or manage. It defines the visibility and control a user has based on their assigned role. You can choose from the following scope options:
1. All Users and Teams
-
Users assigned to this scope have access to data from all users and all teams across the organisation.
-
This is typically used for admin-level roles or managers who need a bird’s-eye view of all activities and analytics.
-
Suitable for: Super Admins, Department Heads, or Business Owners.
2. Own Data Only
-
Users can only view and manage their personal activity and call data.
-
They won't have visibility into other users' information or performance.
-
This is ideal for individual contributors or agents who only need to manage their own leads or performance.
-
Suitable for: Sales Representatives, Support Executives, and Interns.
3. Selected Users and Teams
-
Provides customised access by allowing you to manually assign which specific users or teams the role can access.
-
Great for mid-level managers or team leads who oversee a specific subset of users within a larger organisation.
-
Gives flexibility to tailor access as per organisational hierarchy or project groups.
Why Scope Matters:
Defining the right scope ensures that:
-
Sensitive data is protected.
-
Team members see only what’s relevant to them.
-
Managers can effectively monitor their direct reports.
Choosing the correct scope when assigning roles is critical for both data security and operational efficiency.
