How to Use Templates and Automation Triggers in FreJun

The templates feature in FreJun allows you to send automated messages to your contacts directly from the web app, mobile app, or activity logs. The Automation Trigger feature can automatically send messages based on call outcomes and call reasons.

1. Creating and Using Templates

Templates allow you to send pre-defined messages to your contacts, which can be personalized using custom variables.

Steps to Create a Template

  1. Go to Templates:
    • In the FreJun web app, navigate to the Templates section.
    • From the message dropdown, select Create Template.
  2. Enter a Template Name:
    • Provide a valid name for your template that accurately describes the message.
  3. Use Custom Variables:
    • You can use Custom Variables (e.g., contact name, company name) to personalize your message.
  4. Save the Template:
    • Once you're satisfied with the message, click the Save button.
    • The template will now be created and listed in the Templates section.

Managing Templates

  • Search Templates: Use the search bar on the Templates page to filter and find specific templates.
  • Edit or Delete Templates: To modify a template, click on the three dots on the right side of the template, where you can:
    • Edit Template
    • Delete Template
    • Add/Edit Trigger

2. Setting Up Automation Triggers

The Automation Trigger feature allows you to send automated messages when certain conditions (such as call reason and outcome) are met. This feature is available to International Professional Plan users only.

Steps to Set Up an Automation Trigger

  1. Edit Trigger:
    • Go to Templates, click on Edit Trigger, and select Add/Edit Trigger.
  2. Set Trigger Conditions:
    • Choose the Call Reason and Call Outcome for the trigger. These conditions will determine when the message will be sent.

How It Works:

  • The Automation Trigger can be used for both outbound and inbound calls made from:
    • Web App Dialer
    • Chrome Extension Dialer
    • Mobile App Dialer
  • After the call ends, if the selected conditions match, the system will automatically send the predefined message to the contact within 5 seconds.
  • Credits Deduction: Each automated message sent via an automation trigger will deduct 0.01 credits from your account.

3. Sending Custom Messages from Activity Logs

You can also send custom messages directly from the Activity Logs section.

Steps to Send Custom Messages from Activity Logs:

  1. Go to Activity Logs:
    • Navigate to the Messages section within Activity Logs.
  2. Select a Contact:
    • Choose a contact from your activity logs.
  3. Select Template:
    • Select the template you wish to use for the message.
  4. Send the Message:
    • After selecting the template, click Send to send the message to the contact.
  • Credits Deduction: Each message sent will deduct 0.01 credits from your account.

4. Using Templates from the Mobile App

FreJun also allows you to use templates directly from the Mobile App, making it easy to follow up with contacts who didn’t answer calls.

Steps for Sending Templates via Mobile App:

  1. When a Contact Doesn’t Answer the Call:
    • If the contact does not answer a call, you can use a template to send a follow-up message.
    • On the mobile app, click on Template, select the desired template, and send the message.
  2. Sending WhatsApp Messages:
    • If the contact is on WhatsApp, the message will automatically be directed to their WhatsApp contact
    • You can click on send
