How to Edit a Custom Role in FreJun

If you need to update the details or permissions of a custom role, follow these steps:

  1. Hover Over the Custom Role:
    Navigate to the Roles section in your dashboard. Move your cursor over the specific custom role you want to modify. This action will reveal additional options.

  2. Click the Three-Dot Icon (⋮):
    On the extreme right side of the role entry, click the vertical three-dot menu (⋮). This icon provides quick access to actions related to that specific role.

  3. Select "Edit Role":
    From the dropdown options, click on “Edit Role.” A new window or section will open, allowing you to modify the role's configuration.


What You Can Edit:

  • Change the Role Name:
    Update the title of the role to better reflect its function or purpose within your team.

  • Update the Description:
    Provide or modify the description of the role.

    Note: A description is mandatory to save any changes made to the role.

  • Modify Permissions:
    Adjust the access rights and actions allowed for users assigned to this role. You can tailor these based on specific tasks or responsibilities, such as the listed ones below

    • Product Access
    • Calling
    • SMS
    • Surveys
    • Contacts
    • Usage Metrics
    • Users and Roles
    • Teams
    • Numbers
    • Organization-Level Settings
    • Billing and Subscriptions
  • Set the Scope:
    Define the level of access this role has — for example, whether it's limited to a specific team, department, or covers all users in the organisation.

  • Add or Remove Users:
    Manage the users assigned to this role. You can assign new users or remove existing ones depending on team restructuring or role changes.


This editing functionality allows for flexible role management, ensuring the right people have the right permissions at any time.
