Why Does Caller Hear “Do Not Call Registry” Announcement? | UAE DNCR FAQ
When a caller hears an announcement that the dialed number is under the UAE’s “Do Not Call Registry” (DNCR), it means the recipient has opted out of promotional/telemarketing calls and the telecom network is blocking the call as per UAE regulations . This is not a FreJun system error; it is a mandatory network-level block that cannot be overridden by FreJun or any other provider .
In accordance with telecommunications regulations in the United Arab Emirates, individuals using UAE numbers have the right to opt out of receiving telemarketing or promotional calls. Numbers registered under the Do Not Call Registry (DNCR) cannot receive such calls, and all telecom service providers are legally required to block these calls.
When a call is made to a DNCR-listed number, the network automatically plays an announcement indicating that the number is under the “Do Not Call Registry,” and the connection is not completed. This is not a system error — it reflects the recipient’s explicit preference, which cannot be overridden or modified by FreJun or any other service provider.
