What You Need Before Setting Up WhatsApp Business on FreJun?
The WhatsApp Business setup on FreJun cannot be started or completed without the prerequisites below in place. Attempting setup without them will result in the process failing or being incomplete. Go through this checklist fully before clicking Apply Now in your Billing section.
Prerequisite 1 - A Whatsapp Business License
A WhatsApp Business License must be purchased on your FreJun account before the setup option becomes available. Without this, the Apply Now button in the WhatsApp Business section under Billing will not be accessible.
To purchase:
- Log in to your FreJun account
- Go to the Billing section
- Select the number of WhatsApp Business licenses you need and complete the purchase
Once purchased, the license needs to be assigned to the relevant user(s) before they can use WhatsApp Business on FreJun.
To assign the license to a user:
- Go to Users & Teams in the sidebar
- Find the user, hover over their name, and click Edit
- Under Add-ons, enable WhatsApp Business License
- Click Save
Note: Only Owners or Admins can purchase licenses and manage user assignments.
Prerequisite 2 - An Assigned FreJun Virtual Number
A FreJun virtual number must be assigned and active on your account before you begin the setup. The number is used during the WhatsApp verification step — it is the number that will be registered as your WhatsApp Business number. You cannot complete setup without it.
FreJun supports both Indian virtual numbers and non-Indian (international) virtual numbers for WhatsApp Business registration.

Prerequisite 3 - Verification Method : Know Which Applies to Your Number
During the setup process, Meta/WhatsApp will verify your number via a Phone Call. This applies to both Indian and non-Indian (international) virtual numbers. Select Phone Call when prompted for the verification method — do not select Text Message.
The OTP verification call is routed through your FreJun Chrome Extension, not to a physical phone. You must be logged in and active on the extension at the time of setup to receive this call.
⚠️ Important: Before clicking Apply Now to begin the setup, confirm that you are logged in to the FreJun Chrome Extension and the extension is open and active in your browser. If you miss the verification call, you will need to restart the entire verification process from the beginning.
Prerequisite 4 - Facebook/Meta Business Account Credentials
During the setup you will be asked to log in with your Facebook account and connect a Meta Business account. Have the following ready before you start:
- Login credentials for your Facebook account
- Access to your Meta Business account (or be prepared to create one during the flow)
- Your Business Name and Business ID
If you do not have a Meta Business profile, you can create one during the setup flow — but having your business details ready will speed up the process.
