What happens if my virtual number receives a UCC (Unsolicited Commercial Communication) complaint?

FreJun takes UCC (Unsolicited Commercial Communication) complaints very seriously. As a licensed telecom service provider, we are required to comply with the guidelines and directives issued by telecom operators and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
If a virtual number is found to have received a valid UCC complaint, the following process will apply:

A. Immediate action on the number
The virtual number associated with the UCC complaint will be removed immediately. This action is mandatory and is taken to ensure compliance with applicable telecom regulations.

B. Customer notification

The account owner will receive formal communication from the FreJun Legal Team explaining the reason for the action and the status of the affected number.
The email may also include any next steps or additional information required from the customer.

C. Why is this necessary?

UCC complaints are governed by strict regulatory guidelines issued by TRAI and telecom operators.
FreJun is legally obligated to comply with these directives and does not have the authority to override or delay actions mandated by the telecom carrier or regulatory authorities.
These measures help maintain the integrity of the telecom ecosystem and prevent the misuse of virtual numbers.

D. Can the number be restored?

No. Once a virtual number has been deactivated due to a valid UCC complaint, it cannot be restored or reactivated.
To continue using FreJun's calling services, you will need to purchase a new virtual number, which will be provisioned through our standard number allocation process.

E. What if the deactivated (UCC Affected) number was my complimentary (free) virtual number?
  • If the deactivated number was a complimentary virtual number provided with your license, the complimentary number entitlement for that license will be forfeited and cannot be claimed again.
  • To continue using a virtual number with that license, you will need to purchase a new virtual number.
  • This means the replacement number will no longer be complimentary. It will be treated as an additional virtual number, and the applicable monthly recurring charges (MRC) or standard Virtual Number (VN) charges will apply as per your subscription plan.
