What Does the VSee Network Test Do?
Unlike standard speed tests, the VSee Network Test is designed to evaluate your network's performance for live voice communication. It's a more accurate tool for diagnosing call-related issues in VoIP platforms like FreJun.
For apps like FreJun and other calling solutions, raw speed alone is not enough.
You might have 100 Mbps speed and still experience:
- Audio dropouts
- Frozen Audio
- Voice delays or echoes
These issues are typically caused by network instability factors — specifically packet loss, latency, and jitter — which have a much greater impact on call quality than bandwidth alone.
VSee Measures:
1. Packet Loss- Checks how many data packets are lost in transmission.
Impact: Even with fast internet, packet loss leads to choppy audio, frozen video, or lag.
2. Latency - Measures the time taken for a signal to travel to the server and back.
Impact: High latency causes noticeable delay in conversations.
3. Jitter - Measures the variation in packet arrival time.
Impact: High jitter results in robotic-sounding audio or echo, even on fast connections.
Solution for High Packet Loss, Latency, or Jitter in VSee Network Test
1. Switch to a Wired (Ethernet) Connection
Why: Wi-Fi is more prone to interference and instability.
How: Plug your device directly into the router using a LAN cable.
2. Restart Your Network Equipment
Restart your modem and router.
This clears temporary issues and resets your connection with the ISP.
3. Check with Your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
Check for any line issues, packet loss, or routing problems.
If required, you may also consider the following:
-
Upgrading to a higher bandwidth plan
-
Requesting a static IP address (especially useful for business-grade connections)
-
Opting for a leased line, particularly if you're operating from an office environment
