If your microphone isn’t working with FreJun in your browser, follow these steps to ensure it's properly configured:
✅ 1. Grant Microphone Access in Browser Settings
-
Open Google Chrome (or your browser).
-
Go to:
chrome://settings/content/microphone
-
Make sure the toggle for “Sites can ask to use your microphone” is enabled.
-
Under "Allowed to use your microphone", ensure that
https://app.frejun.com
(or your FreJun domain) is listed. -
If it's under "Blocked", click the trash icon next to it and retry access—Chrome will prompt you again.
✅ 2. Select the Correct Microphone
-
On the same microphone settings page, ensure the correct microphone device is selected from the dropdown—especially important if you’re using external headphones or USB mics.
✅ 3. Check for Other Applications Blocking the Mic
Sometimes, other applications such as Zoom, Teams, or background recording software might lock the microphone, preventing FreJun from accessing it. Try the following:
-
Close any other apps that may be using the mic.
-
Restart your browser after closing those apps.
-
If the issue persists, reboot your computer to fully release the mic from any lingering processes.
✅ 4. Operating System Permissions
Ensure your OS also grants browser microphone access:
-
Windows: Go to
Settings > Privacy > Microphone
and ensure Chrome is allowed. -
Mac: Go to
System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Microphone
, and make sure Chrome is checked.
📌 Final Tip:
Try logging out and logging back into FreJun, or use Incognito mode to rule out extension conflicts.
