What If Truecaller or Similar Apps Label the Number Incorrectly? | FreJun Number Label FAQ
FreJun does not control third‑party caller ID apps such as Truecaller, which label numbers based on user‑generated data (how recipients perceive the call and how they report it) . If a FreJun number is incorrectly labelled in such apps, the only option is to purchase a new number that better fits the use case, since all assigned numbers are final and cannot be replaced or removed, and standard number charges apply .
FreJun does not have control over third-party caller identification applications, including Truecaller. These platforms rely heavily on user-generated data and the call recipient’s perception of incoming calls. As a result, numbers may sometimes be incorrectly tagged based on user feedback or reporting activity. FreJun shall not be held liable for such occurrences.
In such cases, one possible approach is to have multiple users (typically 6–7 individuals) manually update or suggest the correct name for the number within the application. Over time, this may help Truecaller reflect the updated information. However, please note that this process is managed entirely by the third-party platform and outcomes are not guaranteed.
If your number is mislabelled:
- You may purchase a new number that better fits your use case.
- Additionally, customers can request a number change or replacement, subject to approval and applicable restrictions as determined by FreJun.
- Standard number charges will apply.
