# What if Microphone Access Blocked in FreJun Chrome Extension?

If you're unable to make calls using the FreJun Chrome Extension and notice that your microphone isn’t working, the issue is almost always related to [**Chrome permissions**](https://frejun.com/faqs/chrome-extension/) or **system-level microphone settings**. FreJun requires microphone access to enable high-quality calling. When Chrome or your device blocks this permission, calling features may not function properly. Follow the simple steps below to restore microphone access and get your calling workflow back on track. 

 If you're unable to make calls via the FreJun Chrome Extension, and the microphone isn't working, it's likely due to system-level or browser-level microphone restrictions.

Important Note:  
This issue is not related to FreJun, but rather due to your system's sound settings or Chrome permissions.

 Common Causes:

- Microphone access is blocked in Chrome settings.
- System-level settings (Windows/Mac) have disabled microphone access.
- The default microphone is incorrectly selected or disconnected.

 Steps to Fix:

1. Check Chrome Permissions:
