This document contains essential details about how our India infrastructure works and why it is necessary to have a backup number. Please take the time to read the document carefully.
Infrastructure Set-up
- FreJun India's infrastructure is built on two key components: Data Centres, where servers are hosted, and Service Providers, such as Jio, which provide the connectivity to these Data Centres and link to the FreJun servers. This collaboration forms the backbone of FreJun’s calling infrastructure in India. The tech team develops APIs on the servers to streamline call management, enabling users to seamlessly make and receive calls through the FreJun product interface.
- FreJun’s virtual numbers are tied to the location of the servers. For instance, servers in Mumbai can only handle Mumbai virtual numbers, while Bangalore servers manage Bangalore numbers exclusively. Consequently, neither the Service Providers nor FreJun can relocate a virtual number during disruptions or issues. Unlike Indian mobile numbers, these virtual numbers cannot be ported from one Service Provider to another.
- Two critical points of failure lie outside FreJun’s control: the Service Providers and the Data Centres. Any issues that arise would require time to coordinate with the relevant parties for resolution, which could significantly disrupt FreJun’s ability to deliver uninterrupted calling services to its customers.
- Given these constraints, FreJun cannot offer a backup on the same primary virtual number if problems arise at the Data Centre or with the Service Providers. Instead, any backup number provided by FreJun may come from a different server at a different location, resulting in a different number series.
- This temporary solution would help FreJun’s customers to have uninterrupted calling services till the issue is resolved.
